Dr. Gene Kim

DDS

Dr. Gene Kim studied dentistry at NYU College of Dentistry and earned his DDS in 2002. Prior to dental school, Dr. Kim attended Penn State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He has been a practicing dentist in the Maine and New England area for the past 20 years and looks forward to serving the greater Portland area at Dental Wellness. In his free time, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with his family and rooting for his favorite Philly sports teams. 

Alison

Registered Dental Hygienist

Alison has been a dental hygienist since 2007 and has spent most of that time practicing in Denver, Colorado. As Maine natives, Al and her husband, felt a strong pull to move back to Maine to raise their daughter. Their new residence is in Gorham and they fell in love with the community. They enjoy spending time near any water, gardening, live music and watching her daughter grow and thrive in one of the best places on earth. 

Patient education is the most important aspect of helping patients make the best choices for their systemic and oral health. Alison enjoys helping patients reach their goals and feel empowered. She believes trust and honesty is the most important part of a provider and patient relationship.

Marissa

Dental Assistant

Marissa started her dental career at this office back in 2023 when Dental Wellness first opened! As a dental assistant, she strives to provide a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. She is proficient in assisting with a wide range of procedures and oversees the office lab cases. When she isn’t at work, Marissa loves to craft and hang out with friends. Fun fact, Marissa was a cosmetologist for 8 years! 

Anne

Dental Assistant/Admin Assistant

Anne is a NJ native who relocated to Maine in August of 2024. She began working at Dental Wellness shortly after! She graduated from Rutgers University and began her dental assisting journey in 2023. Anne loves helping patients feel welcomed in the dental chair and making sure their concerns are heard. Outside of the office you can find her taking a dance class or checking out a new spot to eat. 

Tamar

Admin Assistant

Tamar moved to the United States two years ago from the country of Georgia. She graduated from the Llia State University with a degree in Business Administration and Management and has worked several management positions in the hospitality field since graduating. Tamar finds dentistry fascinating and enjoys working with the team at Dental Wellness! In her free time, she likes to take walks in the park with her 6 month old Golden Retriever and watch films with her husband.
